Burial Sites of US Colored Troops
Arkansas and Eastern Oklahoma

This page contains the known burial sites of US Colored Troops in Arkansas.
A majority of the soldiers are buried in the National Cemetery in Ft. Smith, and the National Cemetery in Little Rock. However, there are some soldiers buried in local cemeteries, whose resting places are identified by standard military markers.

A smaller number have been identified by their military service records and have non-military headstones.  However, their service has been documented by obtaining their military service records and their Civil War Pension Files.
